Another difficult week-end in Sepang but this time due for illness, Dominique catch a cold and had fever on Friday, by Sunday he felt better but was not at 100% for the race, toward the end of the race I felt weaker and lose his 4th position in the last lap.

The Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and Spanish Motorcycle Championships in the same year. The Cheste track has several layouts, running anti-clockwise with varying lengths. MotoGP events are held on a 4km track comprising of five right handed corners, eight left handers and a 650m straight. Although the track is regarded as quite small, the pit complex contains 48 garages whilst the stadium style grandstands can seat up to 150,000 spectators. The circuit layout which allows all parts of the circuit to be seen from any stand helps to create a unique atmosphere enjoyed by Spanish and international riders alike and as the last race of the season there is always a party feeling to the Grand Prix, which was voted best GP of 2005 by IRTA. Der Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana wurde 1999 fertig gestellt und beherbergte noch im selben Jahr den MotoGP und die Spanischen Motorradmeisterschaften. Die Cheste Rennstrecke hat verschiedene Streckenführungen, die in unterschiedlichen Längen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn laufen. MotoGP Veranstaltungen finden auf der vier Kilometer langen Strecke statt, die aus fünf Rechtskurven, sieben Linkskurven und einer 650 Meter langen Gerade besteht. Obwohl man die Strecke als relativ klein ansieht, umfasst der Boxen Komplex 48 Garagen und die Stadiumshaupttribüne bietet Sitzgelegenheiten für 150 000 Zuschauer. Die Machart der Rennstrecke schafft eine einzigartige Atmosphäre, die von spanischen und internationalen Fahrern gleichermaßen geschätzt wird. Inauguré en 1999, le circuit de la Communauté de Valence a accueilli les Championnats du Monde MotoGP et d’Espagne la même année. Le circuit de Cheste propose plusieurs tracés et celui retenu pour les épreuves MotoGP est long de 4 km, avec cinq virages à droite, huit virages à gauche et une ligne droite de 650m. S’il s’agit d’un ‘petit’ circuit, les installations sont impressionnantes : les pits comprennent 48 garages tandis que les tribunes peuvent accueillir près de 150 000 spectateurs. La configuration du circuit permet de créer une ambiance unique sur un tracé particulièrement apprécié par les pilotes espagnols et étrangers.
