Installation Considerations

• Latest version is SAP Screen Personas 3.0 SP02. • Features at goo.gl/ftSid9

• SAP Screen Personas relies on SAP GUI for HTML / Unified Rendering to support available rendering features. Issues with the rendering engine may require kernel changes.

• SAP Kernel pre-requisites• Minimum required SAP Kernel: Kernel 742 Patch Level 300• Recommended SAP Kernel: Kernel 742 Patch Level 328

• SAP Basis 7.40 or higher is required. • This might require a kernel exchanged depending on the SP level.

• Unicode is strongly recommended.

Installation process

• Enabling Basis 7.4 SP03 through 08 for installation (SP09 is ready to go)

• Apply SAP Note 2007072• Close and reopen SAP GUI session to activate new classes• Apply SAP Screen Personas enablement note

• SP03: Apply SAP Note 1918906• SP04-08: Apply SAP Note 2044643

• For SP03 and SP04, apply SAP Note 2218621 (otherwise, you will get short dumps)

• Update the kernel (if required)• Check and apply notes listed in SAP Note 2222773

Configuration

• Set profile parameters in RZ11• em/global_area_MB to at least 1GB• ztta/diag_area to at least 20MB

• Activate services in SICF• /default_host/sap/bc/personas• /default_host/sap/bc/personas3/• /default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui

• Assign roles in SU01• /PERSONAS/ADMIN_ROLE (for full rights)• /PERSONAS/EDITOR_ROLE (for edit)• /PERSONAS/CONSUMER_ROLE (for readonly)
