We are currently looking for new deacons and elders to serve three (3) year terms beginning in January 2015. Look for a description of responsibilities of the office by calling the church office or contacting any current Consistory members. Please contact the church office or Carol Gehres, Consistory president, if you are interested in serving your church on its governing board.

These are the future events to continue the celebration

of our Building Centennial Celebration

Take Note: Some of the proceeds that we receive from the Quilt Auction will go back to the busy needles for materials and the the anniversary fund for now. Anniversary funds will be disbursed when the celebration is done and will go to a yet to be determined fund. Drawing for the quilt will be November 23rd during the church service. Tickets are $20 each and only 200 tickets will be sold. December 13, 2014 St. Marys Brass Quintet will perform in the church sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. St. Marys BAND DIRECTOR Craig French is a member of this quintet. A free offering will be taken for Breaking Bread. April 19, 2015: A.C. Swing Band will be performing in the sanctuary. In this group are Jeff Squire, Sue Backs and Brian Rutter from St. Marys. ARE YOU READY FOR A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE?

Once again Jeanette and Terry Tangeman will be leading a one week mission trip to the UCC Back Bay Mission, Biloxi, MS. The dates are Feb 1-7, 2015 but we are gathering a group already. There are many things to do: construction and rehab, work in the Micah Center which is a day center for the homeless, work in the food pantry or in the soup kitchen. The basic cost is $250 which covers your accommodations and meals in a beautiful new volunteer house for the week and also goes for materials we will use. You will be responsible for transportation and any on the road costs. You can drive, car pool or even fly. We know from past experiences that this is both an opportunity to change your life and to truly change the lives of those you will help. We will be holding an orientation meeting in November so if you want to be included please see or call Jeanette Tangeman 419-234-7935; email [email protected] for more information but do it soon as we are limited to 35 participants.
