Lisa McDowell, MS, RD, CSSD is a board certified specialist in sports dietetics and the team dietitian for the National Hockey League (NHL) Detroit Red Wings. She has worked with professional, collegiate, and Olympic athletes since 1996. Lisa ’s

currently working with Olympic athletes for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Lisa is also the Director of Nutrition at St. Joseph Mercy Health System where she helped establish a 25-acre organic farm on the hospital campus for patient

and employee meals. The Detroit Red Wings also enjoy delicious vegetables from the Farm and seek to optimize nutrition through functional foods rich in

micronutrients. Lisa has been involved with taking the message of healthy food education to community venues such as Detroit Eastern Market, as well as the
