We currently have a vacancy for an experienced

TeaChiNG assisTaNT to join our Foundation stage TeamThis is a fixed term contract to support a child with a Statement of Special Educational Needs for complex communication difficulties on the Autism Spectrum.

The school has a foundation unit, made up of two Reception classes and is a busy and friendly place to work. The post will involve working closely with class teachers and other professionals in our Foundation Stage Team to support children in making a happy and secure start to their school career.

We are committed to developing our staff through a wide range of opportunities and the successful applicant will be actively supported in our friendly team of professionals.

0.6 FTe TeaChiNG assisTaNT (level 2) - NJC Grade CWe would like to welcome an outstanding, enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual, to initially join our team to support a pupil with a diagnosis of ADHD.

The post holder is required to work for 15.75 hrs per week in the first instance. The role is to support an individual pupil in Year 6, with behaviour, emotional and social needs during structured and unstructured times, as he makes the transition from ACE to Shakespeare Primary School, before preparing for secondary transition. The successful post-holder will be expected to support pupils to develop skills of independence, self-confidence and social interaction, as part of a team, as well as having high expectations of pupils’ behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ3, experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour in upper primary schools and demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team.
