“An Environment Where We Can All Grow Together”
March 23, 2012 Dear Parents and Guardians, It’s hard to believe that Spring Break is beginning. We are so busy here at Woodview School working with your children! Here are a few updates and upcoming events for April.
ISAT testing has been completed for our third and fourth grade students. We are proud of the students for their effort during this time. Thank you for all of your help at home talking with students about doing their best. We look forward to seeing the results in the fall! Mr. Smith has been working hard with students to prepare for our upcoming music concerts. The third and fourth graders will be presenting on April 12th. Our first and second graders will have their show on April 26th. We can hardly wait to see what they have been up to. More information will follow soon. I hope you all have a chance this spring to come and see our red tulips around our outdoor classroom. They are just starting to poke through the ground. Soon they will be in full bloom as a reminder of our promise to live healthy lifestyles. April is also time for our annual Dodgeball Night. The event will take place on Friday, April 20th at
Frederick School. Please read all the information from our PTO about this upcoming event. Staff and students sharing a friendly game of Dodgeball, I can’t think of anything more fun! I hope all of the Woodview families enjoy a happy and safe spring break. We look forward to learning more when you return. Sincerely, Cathy Santelle

Check out the Cartoon Network's special called "Speak Up" on the website listed below. This includes a message from President Obama. Click on the "Watch Now" button on the page. Matt makes 5 appearances sharing his anti-bullying message and his cool bike tricks. We loved watching his tricks and hearing his inspiring stories.
Did you know he even jumped over Mrs. Santelle and a few teachers on his bike?

Our 2011-2012 Market Day grocery
fundraising program is underway!
Watch for a new flyer to come home
soon!
Clip & save Tyson Project A+ labels.
Turn in the labels to school. Your
school redeems them for cash. Each
label is worth $.26.
Here is another way to earn money for
Woodview. Simply clip the Box Tops
from your favorite General Mills
products and send them to school with
your child!
Chef Tony says, “Spring has
sprung a little early. Check
out the latest Market Day
flyer for all your grilling
needs!”
Did you know that Woodview
collects Campbell’s soup labels? The
labels are worth points and must have
the UPC code in order to be used. The
points can be redeemed for books, gym
equipment, and other items for our
school. Each teacher has a box in the
classroom to collect labels and box tops!
