Ancillary Task 1 Research Poster for Film

does a number of things.

One, if people really

enjoy watching this actor

a lot of people will go to

see a film purely because

of the actor starring, and

two the facial

expressions on the actor

shows that the film is

quite tense and serious.

Date of when the film is

in cinemas is clearly

pointed out.

Title of the film has

been put on the left of

the poster this has

moved away from

being clich and being

put slap bang in the

middle of the poster.

Includes a little

rhetorical question

to draw in the

audience and to

make them want

to watch the film.

Includes the main

actors name boldly

pointed out in its own

little area.

This poster has told

people who the filmwas made by and given

an example of another

movie they have

produced. This will

allow them to get the

same target audience

as iron man to watch

this film.

Whereas the last poster

included a rhetorical

question, this poster

has put what could be

called a slogan but its

not. Again, this is to

make the audience

want to go and watch

the movie and draw

them into the poster.

Whereas the last poster

only included a main

image of the one main

character this poster

has done something

different. This poster

has included the main

character as the larger

in the middle and has

then included some

other main characters

around him.

Title of the movie in

clear bold letters so

people know what

movie the poster is for.

Instead of just using the

main characters as the

main image, this poster

has also included a

snapshot of a part of

the movie, this not only

gives the audience an

insight to the movie but

also gives the poster

more attraction.

Production company so

audience knows who

made the film.

After analysing these two posters for actions films I have realised what it is I need to

include in my poster for my action film. Ive decided that for the main image I am

only going to include the one main character because although adding more than

one is effective I feel that the image for abduction gives more feeling and mood for

the film. Although adding an example of what films you have produced in the past is

effective I dont have any other films I have done before, therefore Im going to add

the date of when its going into cinemas on my poster. I will obviously add the title in

bold clear letters but I am still unsure on the position of where it will lay on the

poster and I am still unsure on font and size. Another thing I feel I want to add after

analysing these posters is the name of my main actor as I feel it really helps draw the

audience in when they know who is acting in the film. Finally I want to add my

production title on the poster so that people that view the poster will know what

company has produced the film.
