#editoI am proud that the Region and 32 of its start-up will be participating in VivaTech which is taking place from May 24 to 26 in Paris. This event represents a fantastic showcase for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

This year we have opted to join the Agritech-Foodtech Lab to promote support for the 63,000 farms located in our region. More generally, we are seeking to leverage VivaTech to highlight the quality and diversity of our know-how and skills base in new technologies.

Since I took off ice, I have been determined to encourage new initiatives and business creation in this sector. In this connection, we provide financial subsidies for more than 300 of our start-up as we firmly believe in their potential and their future. They need to know that the Region is by their side.

Auvergne-Rhône Alpes is taking part in the Vivatech exhibition for the 3rd year running. It has a two-pronged objective: • Highlight the talents, innovation and attractiveness of the region• Encourage the creation of new start-up and help them build

Bovimarket is a sustainable contribution to the business development of small firms and organization efficiency of the regional food chain: The network of regional food products Improves traceability and transparency along the supply chain. It is an intermediation service available on internet platform (sales and purchase interface unit for each company in SaaS mode) and a mobile phone application for consumers.

In industrialized countries, about 25% of cultivated soils are contaminated with anthropogenic pollutants such as heavy metals. The french Startup BIOMEDE proposes to its partner farmers seeds of so-called hyperaccumulative plants. These plants are able to naturally extract these trace metallic elements of the ground. Plot monitoring and in-situ analyzes are carried out using an X-ray machine (XRF analyzer), which validates the effectiveness of the treatment.

At a time when the disappearance of pollinisators is a true economic and environmental stake, Hostabee has developed a connected module, named “B-Keep”, associated with a web app, that allows beekeepers to remotely track the life cycle of their bee colonies.
