COMMUNITY MEETING FOLLOW-UP: At the last Community Meeting, a question/comment was raised regarding dialing “911” or “9,911”. For clarification, the phone that was used to dial out, the phone for resident use at the Clocktower, is not set up to make any EXTERNAL calls, it is for internal calls. Dialing “911” or “9, 911” will work from your individual phones. POOL CLOSING: The pool will be closing at 2PM on Wednesday, August 10th for employee meeting.

Legislators will be on hand and those not already backing the bill or "on the fence" may be influenced by the presence of C&C supporters, even having an opportunity to speak with some of them. Personal stories are particularly useful. We hope you will be among us! If you'd like a ride or can give one, please call Jeanne Slawson, Ext. 7380 or email, [email protected].

FRAME SHOP: The Frame Shop (Apartment 137) will be closed for the month of August. FROM THE LIBRARY: Recently inside sections of the New York Times have gone missing from the Periodical Room on the day of publication. This isn't just theft from the library -- it's theft from the whole community, because the papers in the library belong to all of us. I have alerted the members of the Library Committee and am asking all residents to be on the look-out for anyone with parts of the New York Times and/or The Wall Street Journal. Thank you. ֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍ Thank You,

for all your kind words and well wishes during my illness. Also, thank you for the beautiful cards and flowers. But most of all, the

visits and expressions of love and concern for my recovery, which helped so much to brighten my days. I am back home now and

doing well, all because of the many prayers and the spirit of friendship and love. -Lillian V. Langford

֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍ TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS FROM THE IVY ROOM LOUNGE AND

DINING ROOM, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the card you sent. It arrived at a time when my spirits were pretty low. The timing of the card and the many signatures were perfect! For those who want to hear me play

piano again, if at all possible I will be in the Ivy Room Lounge playing just as soon as I can.

Thank you again. I send my love to all of you. -Lloyd
