Mr. Green Collington says:

LED light bulbs are “directional” light sources, which means they emit light in a specific direction, unlike incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs, which emit light and heat in all directions. For this reason, LED lighting is able to use light and energy more efficiently in many applications.

We are requesting this “Special Exception” in order to continue to build future Sunrooms onto our cottages on an “as sold” basis to continue to improve our community and it’s marketability! change, cancellation or emergency message, please direct those to Karen Cheney. IPAD CLASSES: Do you own an iPad that has IOS 9.0 or a later version downloaded to it? Or, are you planning to buy a new iPad within a few weeks? Would you like to be able to use your iPad for a variety of things – more than just for e-mail? In fact, are you even needing help in setting up your e-mail account on your iPad? The following topics will be covered in iPad classes taught here at Collington by some of your Collington neighbors. Each class will be held for four weeks. You can enter any of these classes depending on your needs, interests and level of knowledge of your iPad. Some of your will be brand-new users and others will have some of the early lessons already “down pat”. If you are interested, and provided there is enough interest, we will offer classes at Collington. Details regarding class descriptions and fees will be available next week if there is enough “general interest. Please get in touch with Karen Cheney, x5023 or [email protected] SAGE INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: SAGE follows the Prince George’s County Public School system. If county schools are canceled due to bad weather, SAGE classes are canceled. A one-hour delay doesn’t affect classes. If classes are delayed for two-hours, classes starting before 11 AM will be canceled. If county schools close two hours early due to bad weather, classes after 2 PM will be canceled. All classes are canceled if the Prince George’s Community College is closed due to bad weather. HD MET OPERA at the REGAL BOWIE STADIUM THEATER: Future Operas include:

• Manon Lescaut – Saturday, March 5 at 12:55 PM • Madama Butterfly – Saturday, April 2 at 12:55 PM • Roberto Devereux – Saturday, April 16 at 12:55 PM • Elektra – Saturday, April 30 at 12:55 PM

Trip sign-up sheets will be in the Trip Book two weeks prior. There needs to be enough signed up to warrant Collington providing a bus and driver. If you sign up and don’t show, you will be charged. If a Collington bus and driver aren’t available, Collington may contract with an outside provider. If that is the case, riders will probably have to pay more for the trip.

EMPLOYEES WEARING MASKS: No need for alarm! Collington urges all employees to get the annual flu shot to help keep flu season at a minimum at Collington. If an employee is not able to take the vaccine, we ask them to wear masks during flu season (as of February 1) and until the flu is considered dormant. This is practiced at other Kendal communities and is one of the better ways to protect residents/staff, but also respect the rights of staff to decline the vaccine. ABSENTEE BALLOTS: If you are interested in voting by Absentee Ballot in the upcoming election, please notify Bianca Williams no later than February 29th. All requests will be communicated to the Prince George’s County Board of Elections. If you have not yet registered to vote in Maryland, Bianca also has copies of the Maryland Voter Registration Application. Please stop by the Resident Services office if you need one. You may also reach Bianca by phone, x4778 or via email, ([email protected] OR [email protected])
