What is

AIESEC?AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadershipdevelopment experiences.

Present in over 126 countries and territories and with over 70,000 active members,AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-run organisation. We are run by youth, for youth,and we envision ‘peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential’.

AIESEC was founded in 1948 in post-war Europe where a group of young individualsfrom 7 countries, determined to create change, came together to create anorganisation that aimed to “expand the understanding of a nation by expanding theunderstanding of the individuals, changing the world one person at a time”.

In a world where we face many different global challenges at different times, webelieve the solution is to develop responsible and entrepreneurial young leaderstoday who will choose how the world will be like tomorrow.

The way we do this is unlike anyone else in the world. We provide practicalleadership experiences by living and delivering international exchange programs thatdevelop leadership in others. In doing so, young people are exposed to a globallearning environment where they have the confidence to learn and the freedom tofail. With 65 years of experience, AIESEC is committed to creating change agents thatwill make a positive impact on society.

GLOBAL LEADER?The Global Leader program is a practical team experience thatdevelops leadership abilities by running a global organisation. Inthe program, you will first join AIESEC at your university campusas a team member, opening up further opportunities to buildyour leadership journey.

Global Leader provides you with valuable opportunities to:- Apply your university education in a practical experience- Increase global awareness and cultural understanding- Build both a local and global network with like-minded youth- Personalise your own leadership development journey

LEADERSHIP IN

STUDENT DEVELOPMENTDevelop yourself while helping to develop others! Studentdevelopment roles allow you to promote to the student market ordirectly work with students in order to provide them withdevelopment experiences.

In this role, you can:- Provide students with life-changing opportunities, both locallyand globally- Learn the practical and professional side of social change- Build networks with other globally-minded youth who arepassionate about making a positive impact on society

LEADERSHIP IN

ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENTGain practical skills in managing the internal processes of anorganisation in order to support its operations. Through yourwork, you will gain firsthand experience in roles that supportorganisational capacity growth in order to maximise AIESEC’simpact on society.

In this role, you can:- Gain working experience in fields such as HR or Finance- Supplement your theoretical knowledge with strategic insightinto business operations- Directly support business operations to help achieveorganisational goals

EXTERNAL RELATIONSLEADERSHIP IN

OUTGOING EXCHANGEExchange is a core program in developing and empowering young leaders. Membersof the Outgoing Exchange portfolio facilitate and deliver AIESEC's Global CitizenProgram, providing students the opportunity to develop their leadership byvolunteering abroad and making a positive impact in developing communities.

The main duties of of the Outgoing Exchange (Global Citizen) portfolio involveassessing and recruiting exchange participants with an exchange program that suitstheir preferences and preparing them for an experience of a lifetime. Through thisprocess, the Outgoing Exchange Portfolio ensures that our exchange participantsmake the most out of their experiences.

OUTGOING EXCHANGEThe outgoing Global Internship program portfolio manages Teaching and Marketinginternship programs, facilitating the entire process of sending students on cross-cultural internships. As a member of the oGIP team, you will be responsible for thequality-control of the intern's experience, helping them in their global professionaldevelopment opportunity. By interacting directly with the people we send on cross-cultural internships, you will see the impact of social change both in its nitty-gritty andgrandiose.

INCOMING EXCHANGEThe Professional Traineeship program placements provide Australian businesseswith access to a global network of talented and passionate youth, who add diversityand innovation to their organisation. The Incoming Exchange Portfolio createspartnerships and develops relationships with external organisations and companiesto provide placements where these global youth can offer their skills and services,while also developing responsible and entrepreneurial leadership in a globalenvironment. Members, as business development officers, develop negotiation andcommunication skills to develop partnerships, as well as stakeholder and resourcemanagement skills to deliver exchange experiences.
