The WashingtonCounty CampusFoundation (WCCF), theofficial fundraising entityfor the local UW-Washington County cam-pus, will be taking overthe reins of the annualFestival of Arts.

The popular festival,which celebrated its tenthyear in 2015, will be heldon Saturday, April 9,2016 from 10am to 4pmat the UW campus locat-

ed at 400 UniversityDrive in West Bend.

The festival will retainthe same features that cel-ebrate the arts — includ-ing a juried professionalart sale, middle and highschool student artworkcontest, photography dis-play, musical performanc-es, art make and take-itsessions, farmers marketand mini seminars. Some new fea-tures are being planned, including acraft beer and wine tasting area.

As the new regional model forUW Colleges is adopted, this

change in Art Fest ival leadership was

essential as campus staff will nolonger be available to manage theevent. Moving the management tothe foundation will allow the event tocontinue and grow. Nina Jones,Executive Director of the WCCF, is

“excited to continue this important

campus and community event” andhopes it will “grow and that we canmake it an even stronger event.”

Jones also noted that the fall Fish FryFrenzy event at the campus will goon hiatus for now as energies are re-

directed to the festival.
