Lord's Peace Parish family, This week I offer a few summer time reflections… One of the opportunities that the summer months afford us is the opportunity to slow down and to reflect, rest and to give thanks. These are great days to make significantly more time to pray and medi-ate on the saving mysteries of our faith. When we are in conversation with Jesus we can reflect upon the spiritual resolutions that we have made this year and consider some new resolve for the next year. A few things to possibly consider: “Is my life or my family life frantic and not peaceful?”, “How might God be a more significant part of my life and family’s?”, “When was the last time that we prayed together as a family, or gone to confession together, or spent time in adoration together?” Many are enjoying the beauty of God's creation and the joy of vacationing with their families. As you plan for your trips don't forget to plan to attend Sunday Mass wherever you find yourself. A great resource for your preparations is www.masstimes.org. This site offers the location and times of Sunday Masses all over the country. During the 4th of July weekend let us reflect not only on our freedoms as a Nation but also upon our freedom from sin in the Blood of Jesus. During July, the month of the Precious Blood, I challenge each of us to root ourselves more deeply in the sacraments and to ask of Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, if our thoughts, speech, and actions are indeed pleasing to Him.

May the Precious Blood of Jesus be upon you,

Fr. Kim J. Schreck

Wednesday, July 1st 7pm-9pm at Beaver Brewing Co. 1820 7th Ave Beaver Falls "Have We Forgotten Our

Story? "We can easily take for granted the ancient nature of our faith. Symbols that every Jew and early Christian

would recognize and understand 2,000 years ago can be

lost easily on us today. Many Catholics may spend their whole life taking parts of the Mass for granted, without

knowing its significance or rich history. Theology on Tap welcomes David Quatchek, Wednesday, July 1, to be our

interpreter for the evening. David Quatchek is an active parishioner at Sts. John and Paul Parish and has a rich

background in Church history. He is an instructor for the

parish’s R.C.I.A. program and leads the Curious about Ca-tholicism ministry. For questions or to see our upcoming

speakers, please check out our website at www.theologyontapbc.org or our Facebook Page or call
