THANKSGIVING GIFT CARDS AND/OR FOOD PANTRY

Thank you to everyone for your donations to the THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS. The Food Pantry will be giving food baskets to 33 area families this Thanksgiving. Your continued help is greatly appreciated! We also have (12) area families ranging in size from 1 person to 5 people, on our list to receive FOOD CARDS. Donations are needed by THIS Monday, November 23rd. To date we have a total of $ 900.00 or $ 75.00 per family. Your donations are very much appreciated. All donations for FOOD CARDS or THE FOOD PANTRY should be put in an envelope in the collection and marked “Attention Kay”.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

THIS Tuesday, November 24th, we will hold our Annual Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service with Silver Lake Christian Community Church at 7:00PM. The Service will be held at St. Augustine Church. Silver Lake Christian Community Church will provide the guest homilist. All St. Brigid Parishioners are welcome to attend. Please come and thank God for all He has done for us in the past year and pray for our Country. Light refreshments will follow at Neumann Hall. Ladies of St. Brigid Parish are asked to volunteer to help with refreshments and/or bake goodies.

CHRISTMAS CANTATA

A joint Christmas Cantata will be held with Little Meadows Methodist Church on Friday, December 11th, at 7:00PM, at the Little Meadows United Methodist Church. Practice will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:00PM at St. Francis Church. All are welcome to attend. Anyone who would like to join the Choir for this occasion would be very welcome.

REQUEST FOR LOTTERY CALENDARS We are taking requests for special Lottery Calendar numbers. Please call the rectory by Tuesday, December 1st to reserve your numbers. Special numbers will be reserved on a first come first served basis.

This is why we provide a wide-ranging media program that offers print, online and broadcasting services through-out our 11-county Diocese. The message is delivered through

Catholic Light, the of the Diocese which is delivered to 46,000 households; Television the television station; and the website.

235,000 homes, hospitals and nursing facilities broadcasting the daily Mass and other faith-based programs. Diocesan website is an excellent online resource for information about life and events in the Diocese, including videos of the daily and the special liturgies at St. Cathedral and Bishop Bambera’s homilies. Update on the Annual Diocesan Appeal at St. Brigid Parish: To date our Appeal totals are: 96 out of 346 Parish Families have pledged to the 2015 Diocesan Annual Appeal. Our goal is $ 24,000. So far the total amount raised towards our Appeal goal is $ 17,323.00. We are under our goal by $ 6,677.00. Thank you to everyone who has already made a pledge. Your help is greatly appreciated. (Envelopes from “In-Pew Sunday” have not yet been fully processed and are not part of this total.)

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON Our Parish is participating a special collection for the upcoming Christmas Season. We ask for your help in reaching our goal for this collection. We are collection 250 boxes of Hot Chocolate Mix for the Susquehanna County Christmas Bureau. This group provides the ingredients for Christmas Dinner for low income families in Susquehanna County. A box is in the back of the Church for these donations. The deadline for donations is Monday, December 7th. (Hot Chocolate Mix is available at the Dollar stores at better prices than the grocery stores.)

RAZOR COLLECTION FOR THE SOUP KITCHEN

We want everyone to know that we will not be collecting razors for the Soup Kitchen this year. Because of your very awesome generosity, we collected enough last year for last year and THIS YEAR. Thank you for your generosity!!!

CONFESSIONS FOR CCD STUDENTS

Confessions for students will be held at their regularly scheduled times. (Saturday—4 to 4:20PM at St. Francis; Sunday following Mass at St. Francis; following Mass at St. Augustine) Confessions this weekend—grades 8–12.

ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST

The Little Meadows Fire Company will hold an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday, November 29th, from 7AM to 11AM, at Whitetails Bar, Little Meadows. Price is $8.00 adult $4.00 children. Benefits the Little Meadows Fire Company. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage gravy with biscuits, home fries, baked goods, and beverages. All are invited to attend and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

ALTAR & ROSARY KNIFE RADA SALE

St. Brigid Altar & Rosary Society is selling Rada knives as an on-going fund raiser. Orders can be placed with a member of the Altar & Rosary or can be placed on-line by going online to www.helpourfundraiser.com and use customer number 504671. The password is mrsa01pw. Do not use capital letters in the password. Many other items such as Cookbooks, stoneware, no-bake cheesecakes, pound cakes, dips, seasonings, marinades, soups, sauces, and cheeseballs are available thru Rada Cutlery.

HOME DELIVERY MEAL DRIVERS NEEDED Volunteer home delivery meal drivers are needed in the Lawton area. If you are interested in volunteering or for more information, please call Kelly Allen at work (570-278-7667) or at home (570-934-2725).

MOM’S HOUSE BENEFITS

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Breakfast with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 5th, from 8 to 11:30AM at Endwell United Methodist Church, 33-1 Watson Boulevard, Endwell. Tickets will be available at the door. Cost for adults is $ 6.00; children ages 5-12—$ 4.00; children under 5 are FREE. Pictures with Santa will be $ 3.00. There will be a Holiday Bake Sale and Live Christmas Music.

Many times throughout the week people ask me questions and the answers can be found in these articles. I hope that they are as informative to you as they were to me.
