Dear Friends,

Peace and all good!

On Monday, September 11, Student Council led a prayer service honoring our country on National Day of Mourning and Remembrance~ Patriot Day. We were blessed to have the Galloway Township Police Honor Guard, Fire Fighters and EMTs join our school community for this special time of prayer. We had a wonderful first week of school. The children arrived with smiling faces and those smiles continued throughout the week! Father Tom visited some of the classrooms on Friday and we look forward to having our priests visit as often as possible! Congratulations and blessings are extended to Father Tom on his installation as pastor of Our Lady Perpetual Help! Gratitude is extended to Father Perry and Father Ed for the support that their parishes (Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and Saint Thomas the Apostle) give to Assumption Regional Catholic School. Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 21st at 7:00 PM. Thank you to all for your continued support for the ministry of Catholic education at ARCS!

Many blessings,

Joan Dollinger

BREAD & WINE INTENTIONS

Starting October 1st, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish will be offering the Bread and Wine in memory of or in honor of a love one. Donation will be $20. Your name and intention will be posted in the bulletin.

Essence “For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s” – ROMANS 14:8

This is the essence of Stewardship – everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God. We aren’t “owners” of anything, we are merely “Stewards” of the gifts that God has given us, especially our very own lives. Pray to God, daily, and ask Him how He wants you to use the gifts He has given you.

OLPH PARISH

Please accept our sincere thanks for your support of THE MARY ELLEN SCHURTZ SCHOLARSHIP FUND last Sunday. We know that Mary Ellen is beaming with pride at the generosity that our parish exhibited for the children of the school that she loved. The motto that she coined for Assumption was: WE CARE. It is poignantly obvious that this motto is shared by the members and friends of OLPH.

Thank you and may God Bless all of you,

The Schurtz Family

WE’RE ALMOST THERE! Have you made your donation to the House of Charity? We are only $16,394 away from our goal of $160,000. We’ve raised 143,606.00 or 89.8%. No matter how big or small your donation, please make the sacrifice. It doesn’t matter what you give as much as giving to those who may need it. “God loves a cheerful giver”.

DID YOU KNOW? The House of Charity is a donor choice for

many employee giving campaigns?

Many businesses will begin their Employee Giving Campaigns this month and continue to solicit donations through the fall months. Employee Giving/United Way campaigns give us an opportunity to direct our donations to the charities that best represents our beliefs, interests and social concerns. Ask your employer for a pledge card and be sure to: In the Donor Choice Section, designate the “HOUSE of

Charity“

Ask to be acknowledged! This ensures our parish will receive credit toward our House of Charity goal.

If the agency requests a code for your donor choice…these codes may be found on the House of Charity website under “Employee Giving Campaign” and in the Catholic Star Herald OR call the parish office.

Please send along your completed form to House of Charity – Diocese of Camden 631 Market Street Camden, NJ 08102.

Your donation to our House of Charity helps to build, support and maintain many programs, ministries and services throughout our parishes and communities. These programs save lives and build futures. Thank you so much for your past, present and future support of our House of Charity fundraising campaign.
