St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur is theoldest Catholic College in Kerala. It was establishedin 1919 as a Second Grade College affiliated to theUniversity of Madras. It was the earliest First GradeCollege in the erstwhile princely State of Cochin andis, at present, one of the largest and most reputed ofthe Arts and Science Colleges in Kerala.

The College is now affiliated to the University ofCalicut. It is managed by the Archdiocese of Thrissur.At the national level, the college has been re-accredited with 3.58 on four point scale at A Grade.College enjoys a unique status in the University ofCalicut for high academic results, excellence insports and cultural activities. The UGC grantedAutonomous Status to the College from 13.06.2014onwards and Sri. FEES CONCESSIONS AND STIPENDSStudents of Scheduled Castes / Tribes or other Backward Communities are eligible for feeconcession under various schemes of the Government.
