In Brenley’s absence Michael presided over our first get together for the year. After finally getting through initial formalities we paid to share our Christmas adventures which for some revolved around hosting grandchildren for days if not weeks with the attendant highs and lows!
The BBQ at Bunnings Marion on Sat 3rd/Sun 4th netted about $600. Jim reported that we may be able to get the same venue for a series of Fridays in 2015.
Linda reminded us of the forthcoming Quiz Night on Friday 13th February (see advert). The fundraising group encourage all of us to promote this event as widely as possible, and Michael reminded us that the funds raised are in direct proportion to the numbers attending. Members were also asked to look out for prizes and prize donors.
There was an extensive discussion of the signage on the money spinner at Glenelg with clear agreement that something more could be done to advertise Ro-tary than is currently in place.
Monthly drinks on the first Friday of the month will resume on the first Friday in February.
Members present then met in Committees.
