SRLA Studio, PLLC (SRLA) was founded in 2009 as a firm specializing in landscape architecture, site planning, urban design and construction administration. With over 25 years of experience, SRLA’s principal plays a key role in every project; from initial creative development through construction document preparation, budget oversight, and Quality Assurance/ Quality Control. For each project, SRLA Studio utilizes our budget integrated design process. This process involves providing construction cost estimates at each stage of the design process, which enables the client to closely track anticipated construction costs, and helps them make programmatic adjustments along the way. Our design process minimizes the need for costly design revisions associated with reducing construction cost estimates at the end of the project, or “value engineering”. This process also delivers a strong, unified design based on an affordable program, free from the removal of desired features at the end for the sake of value engineering.

Construction Administration Developing a concept that can be embraced by the client, and bringing that concept to life through the development of the plans is only the beginning of a project. Construction is what brings ideas to life. To ensure that the construction of the plans is built in accordance to the plans and specifications, SRLA’s staff uses their extensive experience in the construction industry to assist them in their management of construction services to our clients. Our professional staff can monitor landscape construction activities and make sure contract documents are followed, field condition changes are addressed and review change orders for our clients. Quality Assurance/ Quality Control As a part of SRLA’s quality assurance for each project, we engage our construction services department to perform an independent constructability review of each project to ensure the project is cost effective and readily constructible. SRLA has a reputation for providing quality, on-budget projects at the agreed upon time of delivery and we integrate our quality assurance and quality control process throughout our daily activities. Informal reviews and discussions occur daily and, prior to each milestone submittal, senior staff that have had no direct involvement in the project, review the submittal for accuracy and completeness.
