THE CALL TO DISCIPLESHIP The core vocation in the Gospel of Mark is the vocation, or call,

to discipleship. Today’s Gospel passage provides us with one last

example of what the vocation to discipleship means, and one exam-

ple of what it doesn’t mean. A destitute widow shows us that disci-

pleship means following Jesus’ way of service, even if it requires

giving one’s livelihood (or life). The scribes show us by their bad

example that discipleship should entail a vocation to extend God’s

care to those who are most in need. In our reading from the book of Kings another widow and her

Rosary for Priests and Religious Life. A small group will lead in prayer after the 5:30PM

Tuesday Mass, anyone who would like to stay and pray

the rosary for priests and religious life are more than

welcome.

Confession Times: Wednesday: 6:30am-7am & 6pm-6:45pm

Thursday: 6:30am—7am

Friday: 7am-8 am

Saturday: 4 pm-5:30 pm

Sunday: 7:45 am-8:45 am and after the 8:45 am

prayed at the Church every Wednesday. The chaplet is prayed at 3 pm Benediction and Rosary are

THANKSGIVING DINNER.

St. Hyacinth would like to invite you

and your parish to our 14th Annual

Thanksgiving Dinner. The dinner will

be held at our parish hall on Sunday,

November 18th from 11 am to 2 pm.

We will serving turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and

gravy, green beans, salad, bread and dessert. The cost is

deepen our relationship with God through prayer, study, and apostolic action.

Thanksgiving is a good time to help those people whose holidays may be very bleak because of

the present economic situation. We ask those of the parish, who are able, to help provide food for the needy.
