Our Visit to the Governor General’s House - His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove with our students. Presentation Day – Tuesday 9 December 2014 – 12:00pm Yesterday we recognised a wide range of development and excellence in academic, sporting and cultural areas as well as personal growth and maturity. All our students and families should be proud of the awards their child has received which are recognition of individual learning and achievement. While we recognise these students, there are many other students who have worked hard and shown improvement. Actually if your

child has done their best, then they can be proud of their achievement, whether they received a certificate or not.

Concert Rehearsal On Monday we held our whole school rehearsal in the Front Cola, for our fantastic concert which will take place this Thursday evening.

Students from 3/4T and 3/4S practise the Heel and Toe Polka

There’s still time, if you haven’t purchased your tickets yet. Tick Tock! If you have found yourself walking through the school over the last week or so, you may have heard music pumping out of the hall. All students have been rehearsing daily, for this Thursday's concert. The theme of the concert is 60 years of education and there are sure to be some memories and flashbacks for almost anyone who went to primary school in Australia over the last 60 years! Throughout the show you will see students imagine the first landing on the moon, they will deliver some flashbacks of jingles and advertisements from days gone by and show you a brand new heel, toe polka. Remember the games you used to play in the school yard? You will see some of those on the night, as well as experience some of the sports.

For all students, the end of year concert is a great way to showcase what we do at school and this year will prove to be a fun night of entertainment that will have you singing along. If you don't have your tickets yet, be sure to see the school 'box office' to get yours. Tickets are $5 and the show starts at 6pm, Thursday 11 December. School’s at the Bicentennial Hall on Thursday. This Thursday 11 December School will be at the Bicentennial Hall. The children will not take their bags, but should have a few snacks in a plastic bag to take with them for the day. Children will have Lunch at school before we travel to the Bicentennial Hall at 11:00am. Doors will open at 5:00pm with the show starting promptly at 6:00pm. Children can be collected at the rear of the Hall after the show; there will be

signs so you can locate your child’s class. Please let the teacher know when you have your child and are leaving.

Value Pins Assembly Friday 12 December This Friday we will hold our last Value Pins Assembly, for the year. 215 students received their Value Pins this year, which is a fantastic effort - 56% of the student body. The Infants Assembly will start at 12:10pm and the Primary Assembly will start at 2:00pm. Congratulations to all students. Congratulations to Baltazar Puis (2B) and Olivia Martin (2B) on receiving an award from 3P learning for 'Outstanding Achievements in Mathletics' for 2014. They were the only two students in the school to gain this recognition. Good Effort Afternoon Tea – Friday 12 December – 1.10pm
