Surf Art: an exhibition of surf, beach and ocean themed art! Enter you best surf art,
categories considered include paintings (can be on surf boards), woodworking,
photography, sculpture, pastel or charcoal drawing, ceramic and other fine art.
About Word Revolt Art Gallery
Word Revolt is a non-profit art gallery and studio that hosts montlhy pop up
exhibitions and events for local artists or those with a good cause. At WR it is free to
apply, show, and sell artwork. Exhibiting artists keep 100% of their show proceeds.
WR provides the space and curates the exhibition. All we ask is in return is that
participating artists contribute by promoting to spread the word and everyone
comes together to bring drinks/snacks to make the reception special.
Important Dates:
Submissions Due: June 3rd at Midnight
Notification of Accepted Works: by June 7th
Drop off Artwork: June 21st from 4 to 8 PM
Opening Reception: June 28th from 6 to 9 PM
Pick Up Artwork: July 9th from 4 to 8 PM

How To Enter: send the following to [email protected]
□ Name, Artist Website/Instagram in the entry email. Header should say:
Surf Art
□ Images: Enter up to 5 works to be considered, with one high quality image
of each work of art named in the format Title_ArtistName.
□ List the Title, Artist, Media, Price, and Size for each work entered in the
submission email. All art must be for sale, originals only, no prints!
□ Art is ready for display: 2D artwork (paintings, drawings, photographs)
must be framed, matted if on paper, and have apporopriate wire hanging on
the back. No scratches on the glass/plexi. If submitting a surfboard or
sculpture, please provide a hanging option or let us know if the work
requires a pedestal in your entry. Gallery wrapped painted edges are
approved for canvases 1.5+ in width.
□ *All participating artists must be present for the opening reception.
Mark your calendar! The art community wants to meet you, please only
apply to exhibitions you will attend.
□ Have your own payment taking app for card sales and ready to record
your customer information. Word Revolt Art Gallery in a non-profit gallery
and does not handle art sales or any transactions. All sales and delivery
arrangements must go directly through the artist/buyer.

o All art must be delivered and picked up only on drop off date/time
scheduled by the gallery, no exceptions. If you cannot make it, you may
have someone else pick up/drop off work on your behalf . Delivery : All
work must be hand delivered, wrapped in paper or plastic for its protection,
no shipments.
o WR is a live art studio not responsible for damages to property. It is the
artists’ responsibility to insure their own work if desired.
