Whats the job/work you do?

The Global Community Development Program is a program of 4 to 6 weeks which offers voluntary internships. They are usually short term in nature and involve working on diverse community projects and in different organizations. Projects include teaching, promoting HIV/AIDS awareness, working in human rights, environmental sustainability, leadership development and more.

Yo Projects YoPoland.

Project:-About International Kindergarten International Kindergarten is an innovation in AIESEC Poland, and is directed to kindergartens. The main task of the project are exchange of cultural, language, arts and crafts experience, promote cultural understanding, extend and promote idea of voluntary work, answer to the basic assumptions of social responsibility issues. Volunteers working in International Kindergarten focus on delivering topics as tolerance, cooperation, diversity, internationalism and opening for new. Moreover, this project tends to help the children from kindergartens (3-6 year-old) to get used to the cultural diversity and form a healthy image about surrounding world at age when values and attitudes are easy to shape. Main idea of the project is connection children at the age between 3-6 years and international environment in daily live. We truly believe that grow up in multicultural environment brings benefits for further live. Work of the intern will be dependent on the Kindergarten’s requirement. This will involve mostly playing with children and providing interactive exercises that would additionally convey basic English words knowledge as well as culture exhibition. All of the workshops will be extremely interactive and base of practical exercises, so that children will get knowledge through fun and games.

South AfricaThe National Zoological Gardens is the largest zoo in the country. It is located in Pretoria, the “Jacaranda City”. NZG is a facility that houses thousands of species, including the rare species of antelope, white rhino, and gorillas and so on. Also, we have the largest inland marine aquarium in the country. The Reptile Park has around 93 species for your viewing pleasure. NZG exposes visitors to a stimulating, unique educational experience that will, in turn, increase number of visitors, deepen public understanding of biodiversity conservation, attract learners to science, and instil pride and ownership among all South Africans. The intern will therefore be helping out with: School lessons and Youth programmes - Assisting the education staff with facilitation of zoo lessons - Assisting the education staff with the facilitation of youth courses during the school holidays - Assisting the ZooEduLab with presenting lessons at high schools and science shows - Assisting with the activities of the ZooClub
