AIESEC  is  an  interna onal  non-­‐governmental  not-­‐for-­‐profit  organiza on  that  provides  young  people  with  leadership  development  and  cross-­‐cultural  global  internship  and  volunteer  exchange  experiences  across  the  globe,  with  a  focus  to  empower  young  people  so  they  can  make  a  posi ve  impact  on  society.  The

In  December  2015,  AIESEC’s  young  global  leaders  and  representa-­‐

ves  from  126  countries  and  territories  gathered  at  the  United  Na-­‐

ons  Headquarters  to  promote  and  drive  youth  par cipa on  in  the  

implementa on  of  the  Global  Goals  for  Sustainable  Development.

AIESEC’s  2020  ambi on  to  shape  its  opera ons  around  the  needs  of  

the  world,  increase  its  reach  and  scale  up  posi ve  impact  in  communi-­‐

es  around  the  globe  by  mobilizing  more  young  leaders  through  its  

global  volunteer  and  internship  programs.

AIESAIESEC  hereby  declares  to  adopt  and  contribute  to  achieving  the  

Global  Goals  for  Sustainable  Development  by  mobilizing  and  develop-­‐

ProgramVolunteer  abroad  to  challenge  yourself  to  do  some-­‐thing  outside  your  comfort  zone.  Experience  living  and  working  abroad  with  cross-­‐cultural  teams  and  families.  The  experiences  range  from  6  weeks  to  8  weeks.  While  they  are  generally  non-­‐paid  opportu-­‐ni es,  you  o en  receive  s pends  and  basic  support  

services  like  food  and  accommoda ons.

Project  Descrip on

Understand  the  Indian  educa onal  system  and  the  culture  of  India  and  the  opportunity  to  train  and  develop  young  minds.

Week  1.  Introduc on  to  the  project  and  learn  about  the  basic  teaching  procedures.

Week  2.  Start  teaching  the  kids.

Project  Descrip on1.  Share  the  objec ves  of  Give  Me  Trees  -­‐NGO.

2.  Learn  the  prac cal  part  of  tree  plan ng  work  such  as  digging  pits  

to  make  new  saplings,  working  with  various  tools,  different  types  of  

soils,  varie es  of  plants  and  create  a  basic  nursery  for  the  plants.  

3.  3.  Learn  the  basic  of  compos ng,  waste  management,  chemical  free  

soils  and  environment.  Talk  about  trees,  plants,  soils,  gardening  

ps,  environment  and  ways  to  impact  and  preserve.  

4.4.  Visit  to  Faridabad  and  Noida  areas  where  Give  Me  Trees  has  

planted  several  thousand  trees.  Visit  to  various  heritage  gardens  of  

Delhi  and  historical  sites  to  understand  the  history  of  Delhi  and  the  

changing  environment  scenario.  Visit  to  various  botanical  gardens  

to  study  plant  behavior.  You  will  be  introduce  to  flora  and  fauna  

na ve  to  Delhi  state.  You  will  also  conduct  a  visit  along  the  banks  

of  the  river  Yamuna.

5.  5.  Plant  a  tree  picnic  for  school  children  and  interact  also  teach  

them  on  what  they  have  learnt  so  far.  It  will  help  the  children  revise  

what  they  have  learnt  so  far  and  it  will  give  them  the  confidence  to  

lead,  teach  and  manage  teams  of  young  environment  workers  

through  posters,  charts,  essay  contests  for  kids.  You  will  plan  and  

execute  the  ac vi es  with  the  help  of  the  Give  Me  Trees  staff.

6.  6.  Give  presenta ons  on  your  countries.  Exchange  views,  ideas  and  

knowledge  about  their  country’s  culture,  tradi ons,  cuisine  and  

lifestyle.  You  will  meet  local  community  leaders  and  is  given  an  op-­‐

portunity  to  learn  from  the  senior  people  who  have  been  working

1.  Create  programs  that  will  increase  student’s  com-­‐pe veness  in  public  speaking,  self  awareness,  lead-­‐ership  and  mo vate  them  to  reach  their  dreams.

2.  Assist  the  English  teacher  in  class  and  teach  a  sub-­‐ject  in  English  to  ensure  students’  understanding  of  English  and  the  subjects  taught  in  class.  

3.  Par cipate  in  networking  and  ac vi es  held  by  the  schools  also  a  chance  to  mingle  with  the  students  and  teachers.

1.  Address  hunger  and  poverty  as  a  main  issue  in  

the  Philippines.

2.  Educate  children  and  mothers  from  the  commu-­‐

ni es  about  proper  health  and  basics  for  sustain-­‐

able  living  and  development  to  help  them  in  their  

daily  lives.

3.  Teach  and  tend  to  health  needs  of  the  growing  

children  and  help  promote  basic  urban  farming  for

for  learning  and  knowledge  through  the  advocacy
