Why we do what we do: Peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential” How we do that: By providing the platform of international exchange and team experience opportunities, we enable young people to become leaders who are able to make a positive impact on society and make the world a better place. Governments, corporations, and other public sectors are experiencing a decline in trust, confidence and engagement from the general public. The world is becoming digital, information is accessible and at the same time there is an information overload and it’s hard to navigate through information and get people on board with ideas and products. Changes are being made by networks of people, rather than by individuals. Globalization is accelerating the world's unprecedented economic, social and culture change and year after year, global mobility increases. But yet, nationalistic leaders and parties are being elected and increasing their presence, leading to rising civil unrests, war and conflict in many regions. The pace of change is faster than ever before. Innovations are disrupting industries and influencing our everyday lives and behaviors. At the same time, the world today is very controversial and unpredictable, changes in one part of the world can unexpectedly influence another. Leaders, who know who they are and what they want , are aware of their strengths, weaknesses, values and purpose are able to lead authentically. Leaders, who are communicating effectively can express him\herself, listen actively, and be emotionally intelligent, are able to engage others into a common purpose, build a strong team and network to achieve results Leaders, who take responsibility for the world , are empathetic, aware of world’s issues, feel ownership and act, are able to make a positive impact on their community/territory/the world Leaders, who are persistent about their goals and can easily adapt to the changing environment, who are always looking for solutions and taking action, are able to lead in uncertainty 5. AIESEC International is collecting input and feedback from the network on the leadership development model, which aims to answer these questions. *Based on AIESEC Competitiveness study. We can find organizations which have few of those qualities, but only AIESEC has all of them **Based on Best Leadership Experiences research.
