For IT student Wayne, studying
at the college was the secondchance he needed to gain the
qualifications for university.
Wayne joined the college to
study the level 1 diploma and
successfully progressed on to
study level 2 and level 3. He
is now at Canterbury Christ
Church University studying a BA
Honours degree in web design.
Wayne took part in the Big
Student News Takeover 2013
and was successful in winning a
three month paid internship atthe Comet newspaper.
Wayne explained: Working
at the Comet offices was one
of the highlights of my college
experience; it gave me a taste
of what a real workplace
is like and showed me how
essential working in a team is.
After university Id like to go
straight into web design, going
over to work for an American
company. College was a second
chance for me, just because
you fail your GCSEs doesntmean you cant achieve.
