GOVERNOR It has been a pleasure serving as Governor for this past year and representing the Moose Fraternity, I want to thank all who has helped me get through this year, I could not have done it without the wisdom and kindness of the Moose Brothers and Sisters that we have at our Lodge, I hope you welcome the next Governor and his new Board of Officers and guide them like you have for me. And I hope that the Lodge keeps on prospering and making our Lodge a better place to bring your friends and family. April 7

Again we need to thank all the volunteers that painted and spruced up our entrance hall, it looks great! It is the first thing people see when they come into our Lodge. I have heard nothing but good reviews, also I would like to thank Brother Tom Deverts for renovating our pool bath house rest rooms, it has been a tremendous undertaking and all the members appreciate all that you do. I also want to thank the Moose Riders for working hard in raising money for our 3 main charities Mooseheart, Moosehaven and the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, plus other local charities. They come out to our Lodge every Wednesday night to do Bingo and do not ask for a penny and donate their time and money for these worthy causes (now that is what the Moose is all about) Can’t tell you how much we appreciate you and thanks again.. MOOSE RIDERS
Happy Spring…..All I can say is “wow” where has the time gone and hope everyone is enjoying the weather and all the fun events that the lodge has planned. Riders had a fun day at Florida Days at Moosehaven (March 22). We had a nice turnout with the Riders and the food was awesome. Afterwards we had A FUN time at Lake Shore 2020 lodge. Our Riders also attended a service at the Veterans Nat’l Cemetery, the Picnic in the Pines at the Girls Ranch. Thanks you guys for representing us. Our biggest and most rewarding event this month was the Tricycle Giveaway to 3 special needs children. I saw a news cast on First Coast News about one little
boy needing these type of bicycles. Long story short he had already won one by people voting. I immediately emailed the news station to say our
Mandarin Moose Riders would like to help other children

that need these bikes. So in the end we helped 3 little girls in our area. This all happened with the help of the Riders, LOOM, WOTM, Moose Legion and individual Lodge Members that literally handed us cash to do this. WOW what a great and generous bunch. On March 26 we had a surprise party for these girls to present the bikes. We had pizza, salad, cookies and snacks. I’d like to personally thank our Chef John for his generous donation and also Libby, both fellow Riders and Members. Our lodge stepped to the plate and the Moose Legion with their donations also.
The kids had a great time playing the Moose Board game to win Easter Baskets. First Coast News also came to our Lodge to cover this
event. I hope when I spoke I did our Lodge and Riders justice. I was a BIT nervous to say the least. I’m proud to have such a great bunch of Riders that always step to the plate that made this happen. 42 RIDERS ARE
THE BEST!!! Hope you enjoy the photos in this article of Haidley, Karen and Chanel, the 3 girls who NOW are on a ROLL thanks to our Riders and Lodge members support. The
Riders goal this year is to GET OUT to bring members IN. So along with our other Moose Charities and the FSYR, we have reached out into the community with this event and along with past things, such as the Mandarin Food Bank, K9 for Warriors, the Vet who makes urns for veterans to name a few. So let’s all TRY to get OUT THERE to put Mandarin #42 on the map. Don’t keep the MOOSE a secret. Again thanks to everyone who comes out and supports our Wednesday night Bingo which is why we are able to do more and support more of our charities. So please continue to support this effort, bring a friend and enjoy a meal prepared by Chef John at Café 42. And thank you to the Riders and players that come to play and work the bingo each and every Wednesday. Thank you to the LOOM for helping us do some fixing
of our Bingo equipment and a cover that will soon be made. We will keep you posted on any other events that we have planned. Check out our bulletin board for events and photos.

March was another great month. Once again we had our Moosehaven guests with us for the dance in the Hall Room. Also last month we had a St. Patrick’s day Green Toga Party with the Brady Clampitt Band. The Robert James Project was back with us and we were singing and dancing with our DJ’s Rockin’ Rich, Karaoke Joe, Downtown Brown and Tony Cortez. And at the end of the month we had a Grease Theme party. After the last couple months of non-stop parties we are going to take a breather in April and get ready for summer. But we do have a couple of twists. We will welcome DJ Cyn-Ful, Cindy Saben for the first time here and we have a new rock band called Ether. We will have our Moosehaven guests with us for the dance in the Hall Room. And back with us for your listening and dancing pleasure will be our DJ’s Rockin’ Rich, Karaoke Joe, Downtown Brown and Tony Cortez. Looking past April we’ve got some great events lined up for you like the Fiesta de la Moose, Memorial Day weekend and opening of the pool, the Luau, and the 4
th of July celebration.
What a great time we are having here at Club 42, singing and dancing with all of our friends. There is always room for more so invite some friends to come have a great time. A special thank you to all the people behind the scenes who plan, build, repair, cook, serve, clean, decorate, and then un-decorate. You are greatly appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you. So make plans to join us, we are having some great times and I hope you are joining in on all the fun. Thanks to all the wonderful people who support entertainment. We’ll see you at Club 42. Let the good times roll………………
