April 2016 – April is the fourth month of the year

April is commonly associated with the season of

spring in parts of the Northern Hemisphere and au-

tumn in parts of the Southern Hemisphere, where it

is the seasonal equivalent to October. Have you

Note: Members you are always welcome to the General

Meeting. It’s scheduled Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30pm.

This is a change for April. We are having our elections of

Officers. Please don’t forget to vote.

Don’t Forget – Mother’s Day May 8th. We will be having a

wonderful brunch with champagne!

Special Note: I want to thank everyone for the past 2 years that

I’ve been governor. We have, as a team, accomplished so many

goals. We kept our juke box, where we own it. We have a new

refrigerator. We got the back doors repaired as per the fire de-

partment. We have access to the pool table and shuffle board. We

replaced the old television with a High Def TV in our social

quarters and dining room. We upgraded the electrical behind the

bar. We continue to bring in great members. But the most signifi-

cant accomplishment is the Premier Lodge Award we accom-

plished last year and we are in line to achieve it again this year.

Thank you all for a wonderful 2 years!

Wednesday. We want to make sure everyone can enjoy a

good meal and please if you cannot attend after making

reservations, call us before 6pm to cancel.

Women of the Moose Board here. Our March 11th Corned beef

and Cabbage dinner was a great success! We served over 40

meals and enjoyed DJ John Favor’s rockin’ Karaoke fun. Kitch-

en crew Kristal, Julie, Myra and honorary WOTM member Ru-

ben all did a fantastic job. We also had 5 great student volun-

teers that did a wonderful job as they usually do. PS Sandi Cor-

allo was the best Leprechaun that night!

The following Sunday we continued our love of Irish food with

Corned Beef Hash and eggs. Thanks to all you who came out to

one or both of our meals in March.

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who

graciously donated items for our Children’s Easter Party. We

had 18 kids of various ages who enjoyed pictures with the East-

er Bunny, face painting, various crafts and the egg hunt.

Danette, Kristal and their wonderful student volunteers did an

awesome job as usual.

On Friday April 8th we will be having Chicken Fried Steak

with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, salad & dessert all for

$10. Please reserve with the bartenders if you plan to come.

Our breakfast this month will be Egg Casseroles, hash browns,

fruit salad, juices and coffee all for $7. Important date

change for breakfast: Because of the Moose Bus Trip on April

24th, our breakfast will be on Sunday, April 10th instead.

Elections will be held at our April 6th meeting at 7 pm. There have been a few minor changes in the nominated posi-

tions. Current nominees are: Senior Regent - Julie Escobedo;

Junior Regent – Myra Casey; Secretary/Treasurer -

Danette Poole; Recorder - Kristal Ponce; Guide - Donna

Listek. Anyone else who would like to run for any of those

positions will need to submit your nomination in writing at the

April 6th meeting. If there are no other nominees, the previous-

ly noted nominees will be elected by acclamation that night.

We are ALWAYS looking for new ideas and people for our

events. If you have an idea for an event or just a suggestion,

please come to our meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays @

7pm each month. We would love to see you there. We can only

make changes if you attend the meetings to be heard. You may
