QUINTO DOMINGO DE PASCUA

Día de las madres: a todas las mamás les deseo un muy feliz día y pido a Dios nuestro Señor y a la Santísima Virgen, madre de Dios bendiga abundantemente a todas las madres. El domingo pasado la Palabra de Dios, nos presentaba a Jesús como el Buen Pastor y como la Puerta que da acceso al Reino de Dios. Hoy el tema central es: Cristo, Piedra, Camino, Verdad y Vida.

El es el camino, para que no andemos perdidos y descarriados, sino que encontremos el Norte y el sentido de la vida.

El es la Verdad, en medio de la ventolera de ideologías de este mundo, para nosotros. Cristo no solo es el Maestro, sino la Verdad misma que ilumina ese camino.

La Vida, no sólo porque curaba enfermos y resucitó a Lázaro y otros, sino porque el mismo, el Resucitado, nos comunica su propia vida. Cristo es el protagonista indiscutible también de la Pascua. Este tiempo del que estamos gozando de todo lo que El nos ha conquistado. A el se dirigen nuestras miradas. El es nuestro punto de referencia absoluto en la vida, el que puede dar sentido y esperanza a nuestra búsqueda de felicidad y de plenitud de vida. En el evangelio, San Juan nos presenta a Jesús como camino, Verdad y Vida. Jesús invita a los suyos a no inquietarse ni ante los trágicos eventos de la pasión y de la cruz, que son signos de rechazo para el mundo, ni antes las pruebas a las cuales serán sometidos a lo largo de la historia: “Que no tiemble vuestro corazón; creed en Dios y creed en mi”. Aunque Jesús desaparece físicamente, en realidad siempre estará con ellos después de la resurrección, volverá a ellos y finalmente los llevará consigo cuando llegue el momento. La imagen de la “Casa de mi Padre” donde “hay muchas estancias” era popular en los ambientes religiosos judíos del tiempo de Jesús. Es una expresión simbólica de carácter escatológico para referirse a Dios como destino final de la humanidad. Una vez más, mis Hermanos, los invito a re-leer las lecturas de este domingo de Pascua. Ellas los iluminarán y ayudarán a asumir día a día el mensaje de Cristo y vivir como Hombres Nuevos.
