YOUTH Students in grades 6-12 will meet in the youth room for their “God-Talk Café” discussions. ADULTS We’ll have a topical Bible study for adults led by Bro. Kelly in the gym around the dinner tables. In addition to this study we will have Breakout Sessions for some special leadership training. January 6: Small group leader training for those who will be leading small groups in February. January 13, 20, 27: Sunday School Leader Training. On the 13th we will kick it off with special guest, Bob Mayfield, Sunday School specialist with the BGCO and author of the book we will be studying. We have recently changed servers so currently the best way to communicate prayer requests is through the prayer tab at out church website (fbcskiatook.com ) or by contacting one of our PrayerNet coordinators, Judy Goodrich ([email protected] ) or Judy Rozell ([email protected] ). Can you give us a hand? If you have ANY time this week (morning, after- noon, evening) that you could give an hour or so to help take pack up decorations, let Bro. Scott know. He can give you a task to work on that will fit your schedule. ALSO… if you have a family ornament on one of the trees down front, please feel free to take it today. Ornaments not claimed today will be left at the Welcome Center for pick up. Thank you for your faithfulness in giving during the 2012 church year and especially at year’s end. In the week following the final Sunday of 2012 we received several gifts postmarked before Dec. 31, so we are processing those to get the final budget numbers for 2012. In next week’s newsletter we will give you a December accounting with 2012 totals.

It’s time for the Christmas and Advent decorations to go back in the boxes until November. Can you give us a hand? If you have ANY time this week (morning, after-noon, evening) that you could give an hour or so to help take pack up decorations, let Bro. Scott know. He can give you a task to work on that will fit your schedule.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS We’re back this week! January 8th.

We are currently looking for someone to help us while one of our regular workers is recuperating from knee surgery. We need a person or a rotation of people to

help us on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm starting January 8. There is no teaching involved - just be with the kids, color, sometimes an easy craft, play in the gym & give them snacks. For more info or to volunteer, contact Kim Linton.

FINANCIAL PEACE CLASSES START FEB. 10 We have over 40 people pre-registered for our FPU classes coming in February. We will order FPU literature this week for those who pre-registered (the cost will be the discounted $85). However, you can continue to invite your friends to come as they will be able to register on-line and order their materials directly from FPU at the regular price ($95) up until the starting date.
