If you’d like to contribute to St. André’s Parish electronically—one time only or monthly, ei-ther from your checking account or credit card—you can now do so directly from the parish website: standres.org. Thank you.

Welcome to St. André’s Parish! No matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what brings you here, we’re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the door-keeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experi-ence the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace!

    From Deacon Brent…..

Hello!! It was brought to my attention that people are kept in the dark about St. Joseph’s Church, Malone, so here is where we are at. St. Joseph’s has not been sold, we were close but the potential buyer decided a new heating system was the deal breaker. With that being said, I am negotiating with another interested party that came forward. Hopefully we can get a purchase offer signed soon.

Have you stopped in at the Outreach Center yet? We are busy down there with lots and lots of good things going on. The volun-teers continue to amaze me and many with their sharing of time and talent, THANK YOU!!

I really feel the need to draw your attention to the choir loft to Angelo and Liz. Wow, your dedication to the music and the Mass has not gone unnoticed. The COVID pandemic has certainly been demanding on you, and I believe I can speak for the entire parish when I say THANK YOU for all that you have done for us as a church family. I know you both look forward to having the other voices of our music ministry join you soon.

St. Andre’s staff, you guys amaze me and many others as well. Although you get paid to do ―your job‖, your dedication and drive have been noticed big time. I really want to salute them, from the early days of the pandemic everyone continued to report to work and everyone worked well beyond anything that we consider nor-mal to care for the needy in our area. In the absence of Fr. Steve, without a word being spoken, everyone just shined in particular Darlene and Chadd. Darlene really kept us all on task and going way beyond her job description. She kept everyone on their toes and made sure we had everything we needed. Chadd your eager-ness and willingness to work behind the scenes and make sure everyone was always done regardless of what day or time it was is appreciated more than you will ever know.

Last, but not least, is all of you. THANK YOU for all the kind words, the gifts, the encouragement and the prayers. I have been blessed way more thank I deserve, and I have enjoyed my time leading this parish and look forward to Fr. Steve’s leadership. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

PRAYER TO THE VIRGIN MARY FOR PROTECTION

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in

Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Our Lady of New York, know what we

need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did a Cana of Galilee,

joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will

and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself,

and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.

Do not despise our pleas - we who are put to the test - and deliver us from every danger,

    O glorious and blessed Virgin.

    Prayer During Coronavirus

Mary Immaculate, our Mother and our Patron-ess, we ask you to intercede for us with your

Son, as you did at the wedding in Cana.

Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our diocese, our nation and our world, for our families and loved ones, the

protection of your Maternal mantle from this dreaded virus.

In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us to love one another and to be

patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace and healing Presence of

Jesus to our land and to our hearts.

We come to you with confidence, knowing that you are our compassionate mother,

health of the sick and cause of our joy. Keep us in the embrace of your arms,

Help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus our Lord AMEN.

"There are three kinds of giving: grudge giving says, I have to; duty giving says, I ought to; thanksgiving says, I want to. The first comes from constraint; the second from a sense of obligation; the third from a full heart." Rev. Robert Rodenmayer

Sacrament of Baptism Parents who wish to have a child baptized should contact Rev. Steven Murray to make arrangements for the date and for a program of preparation. Parents are highly encour-aged to make arrangements at least three months before the child is born, as the Catholic Church encourages Baptism for infants as soon as possible after birth. Adults and older children (seven years or older) interested in Baptism or en-tering into full communion with the Catholic Church should inquire about the program of preparation (R.C.I.A.: the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).

Sacrament of Matrimony A Catholic wishing to be married in one of our churches should contact one of the priests at least six months prior to the desired date in order to begin making arrangements. A program of preparation is required. The parish should be contacted before any other plans are made—for example, the wedding reception.

Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick For those preparing for surgery, nursing home residents, or the homebound, contact one of the parish priests to make arrangements to be anointed. For those in the hospital (especially in the event of an emergency), ask the hospital staff to contact the priest on call.
