From Fr. Joe Fr. Scott...

Hello, everyone! Fr. Scott here… Fr. Joe will be return-

ing Monday from a nice vacation—let us hope and pray that his vacation was restful and relaxing!

Next weekend, March 2 through March 4, we’ll be wel-coming back to St. André’s Parish the Capuchin Sisters of Naza-reth to lead us in a 3-day parish mission. In December 2016 the sisters came to our parish at the invitation of Catherine Suprenant, our Director of Religious Education at the time. The time they spent with us was inspiring, and the evening of prayer they led was beautiful. We look forward to welcoming Sr. Francis, Sr. Grace and Sr. Kelly once again to our parish. Please pray for good weather on the weekend!

Now that we’re beginning the Second Week of Lent, how are things going? Have you taken some time to be recollect-ed with the fact that the liturgical season leading up to Easter has begun? Have you thought about how this season might be able to take effect in your life? If we’re willing to set aside some of our personal interests even for a little while (and our smartphone…) and be quiet with God, he will tell us where we need conversion, and where we need the grace of the Resurrection to enlighten our darkened hearts. Be brave this Lent—enter into the silence of Lent and prepare to participate in the feast of Easter.

Fr. Scott

Welcome to St. André’s Parish! No matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what brings you here, we’re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the door-keeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experi-ence the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace!

DO YOU LIKE TO SING?

CONSIDER THIS!

Like to sing…but you can’t attend choir rehearsals all year? Consider

joining the choir to sing in just one event: “The Seven Last Words of Christ”. This year will be an Ecumenical effort. Clergy from different Christian denominations

in the Malone area have been invited to present a meditation on one of the seven last words. Choirs from area churches have been

invited to join the Saint André choir. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 5:00 pm in the Notre Dame Parish Center (the choir

room is upstairs). Please join us for this prayerful service of scrip-ture and song which will take place on Palm Sunday, March 25,

2018, at 4:00 pm in Notre Dame Church.
