Teachers’ Day 2010 The Teachers’ Day celebrations for Tenby Schools Penang was held on 25 June 2010 (Friday) at both primary and senior campuses. Teacher's Day is the perfect opportunity for the students around the world, to pay tribute to their teachers. Although the festival is celebrated in different countries of the world, it doesn't fall on the same day. In Malaysia, Teacher's Day is celebrated on 16th May every year. In the senior school, the celebrations started off with reading the Minister of Education’s Teachers’ Day speech and this was followed by giving out awards to winners of the English Essay Writing Competition held in conjunction with teachers’ day celebrations. The school prefects gave gifts to teachers which serves as an expression of gratitude towards teachers and this was followed by the Teachers’ Day cake cutting ceremony.

The students had great fun by showing off their talents in singings (Forms 1A, 2A and 5A), dancing (year 8JJ and Form 3A) and performing sketches (Forms 2A, 4S, 5A and year 9DR). The scouts also took this opportunity to entertain the teachers with their songs.
